After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Lowell State College in 1973, MaryGail dedicated the following years to raising her children. Inspired by the dedicated nurses who not only cared for her ill child, but demonstrated the heart of holism by extending their caring practice to her entire family, MaryGail decided to enter the profession that she had learned to admire & respect. She returned to the classroom, and was presented with the Excellence in Registered Nursing Award along with an Associates Degree in Registered Nursing from Northern Essex Community College in 1986. MaryGail blended her love for psychology with her passion for nursing, at Holy Family Hospital where she worked as a psychiatric nurse until 1999. She has also worked in utilization review, psychiatric case management, employee health, and infection control in the psychiatric setting.

A Reiki One class in April 1994 served as MaryGail’s introduction to the world of wonder that is Reiki. With the guidance of Reiki Masters, Libby Barnett and Maggie Chambers, her journey into the world of universal energy began. Astounded by the simplicity and power offered by this amazing energy work, MaryGail returned to Maggie and Libby in October of the same year to experience the gift of Reiki Two attunements.
It was in March of 2005 that MaryGail first met Gale Lyman. Two months later marked the meeting that aided in shifting MaryGail’s direction. It was a planning session with Gale to discuss moving ahead to Reiki Level Three. In August of that year, MaryGail realized her goal, and then in October, working closely with Gale, her internship began. Upon completion of that process of learning and experiencing and sharing the flow of loving universal energy, she became a Reiki Master-Teacher, and soon thereafter joined The Lyman Center, embracing the opportunity to continue to experience the joy of this pure form of energy healing. |
